A bunch of cool photos taken by the District of North Vancouver's engineering department in the 1910s have been compiled into an album on display at the MONOVA Archives

Throughout the 1910s, a swath of development took place across the District of North Vancouver, including the construction of bridges, roads and dams.

This work was captured in a photo album compiled by the District of North Vancouver engineering department, which contains more than 300 images. One of those shots, seen above, shows work undertaken on Lynn Valley Road near Frederick Road in June of 1914.

The Dovercourt Hotel can be seen in the distance, which was built in 1909 by Harry Holland and served tourists visiting Lynn Canyon. Visit the MONOVA Archives to see the full album.
