The following is a selection of volunteer opportunities from various community organizations, made available through Volunteer North Shore, a service of North Shore Community Resources Society.

Summer Camp Volunteer Opportunity for students ages 14 plus. Volunteers will learn leadership, communication, and group management skills while building their resume. A minimum two week commitment is required (do not need to be consecutive weeks). Training is provided. Apply now to increase the likelihood of choices being accommodated. Apply: nvrc.ca/volunteer.

Art Program Assistant Assist with setup, cleanup and storage of equipment and supplies. Provide individual assistance to participants following the direction of the staff member. Where specific expertise is applicable, volunteer may lead the art activity with support and supervision of staff.

Edible Garden Project – Garden Workbees Tasks vary depending on the time of year, but par tic pants can expect to prune, make compost, mulch, prepare beds for planting and much more.

Senior Peer Support/Connector Ambassador Expand your helping skills, keep active in your community. Provide emotional support for seniors and guide them through changes and challenges.

Lynn Valley Day Volunteers Lynn Valley Days takes place June 15-16. Seeking many volunteers to make this annual community festival a great event. A wide variety of volunteer opportunities are available: greeting at the door for the gala event, traffic control crew, cook, ticket takers, set up and take down and more.
