Mentor for Garden Program Seeking experienced gardeners to connect with elementary school students. Garden program runs April-May and October. Volunteers will work with experienced outdoor educators and be a weekly guest one morning a week for four-six weeks.

Visitors Visit with residents in long term care and help with various programs such as conversation, musical entertainment, games, reading, mealtime assistance etc. This position would be suitable for high school student, 16 years of age or older.

Volunteer Youth Educator Be a part of a team making a difference in the lives of hundreds of youth. Visit Lower Mainland high schools and facilitate workshops on suicide prevention and mindfulness. Work in a front-line helping environment and strengthen skills in public speaking, group facilitation and working interactively with youth in an educational capacity.

Summer Day Camp Volunteer Seeking volunteers to help provide memorable, fun and exciting activities and outings for children. Assist with the general supervision of participants as directed by the day camp leaders; set up and clean up materials; help children to have a great day camp experience.

Board Member Seeking volunteer to bring a variety of skills, experience and diversity; willing to learn and remain up-to-date about the needs of seniors on the North Shore; contribute personal resources of skill and time to the organization; develop the further skills they need in order to be effective board members.
