Fundraiser: A volunteer is needed to organize a major fundraising event for the BC SPCA in West Vancouver. West Vancouver shelter staff and dedicated volunteers will provide assistance and support.

Friendship circle facilitator: The volunteer assists students in local schools in developing a calendar of lunch-hour play. Once a week the volunteer facilitates an activity and assists the children in developing the following week's play activities. These weekly sessions allow an opportunity for problem solving and to keep the children motivated. Time commitment is less than 60 minutes each week.

Farsi speaking visitor: Cedarview Lodge is looking for Farsi speaking volunteers to bring all Farsi speaking residents together for a small group activity. Volunteers may need to provide assistance to residents in wheelchairs.

Administrative assistant: A volunteer is needed to provide clerical/administrative support to programs within Immigration Services Society. Specific tasks include faxing, phoning, photocopying, data entry and word processing as well as collating program documents.

Computer trainers: A volunteer is needed to teach basic computer skills to women at a community centre as soon as possible. Volunteer will work one on one with women interested in learning basic computer and Internet skills, one hour per week. There are six lessons. Farsi speaking is an asset.
