North Van residents encouraged to nominate excellence

Until Dec.
Pins

Until Dec. 1, the office of North Vancouver MP Jonathan Wilkinson will be accepting nominations from North Vancouverites who want to recognize someone for their outstanding work in the community, categorized as individuals who have displayed exemplary commitment to volunteerism, an act of bravery or everyday thoughtfulness, according to a news release.

In celebration of Canada 150, the Canadian government provided members of Parliament with 20 unique pins made of copper taken from old roofs of the Parliament buildings in Ottawa to give to upstanding citizens whose nominations are accepted. Nominations can be made via email to [email protected] with the subject line “Canada 150 Nomination” or in person at the constituency office located at 102 West 3rd St. in North Vancouver. Nominations should include the name of the nominee, who can be a resident of North Vancouver of any age, as well as contact information and a brief description of why they deserve the commendation.
