Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Lynn Valley Branch 114 attended District of North Vancouver Mayor Richard Walton's last official council meeting Oct. 29 and presented him with a poppy package. The Legions' colour party marched into chambers shortly after 7 p.m., Legion president Diana Saboe gave a short presentation discussing the many community initiatives their group is involved with and poppy packages were handed out to the mayor and councillors. Branch 114 located at 1630 Lynn Valley Rd. will be open daily from noon-11 p.m. to collect poppy donations until Nov. 11. photo Cindy Goodman, North Shore News
