Sasha Thompson and Olivia Cikes get the word out for the upcoming West Vancouver Community Centre PumpkinFest Dance on Sept. 30 from 6:30 to 11 p.m. and PumpkinFest proper on Oct. 1 running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At the dance, participants can look forward to a lively Abba tribute band, as well as kids’ activities, and food provided by Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck, while the following day’s PumpkinFest is gearing up to be an old-fashioned harvest festival for the whole family, which will include a pumpkin patch, pony rides and a petting farm.
The events are the community centre’s signature fundraiser, having raised $230,000 to date for programs and equipment. Go to wvcommunitycentressociety.ca/pumpkinfest for more information or tickets.
