David Hunden, Steve Kirkby and Jay Herbsen are ready to take part in the fourth annual Hollyburn Hockey Hero Shootout on Sunday, May 24, noon to 2 p.m. at 18 Fell Ave., North Vancouver (south of the Northshore Auto Mall). Registered participants collect pledges and get 30 seconds to shoot as many pucks as they can into a goalie-attended net while standing on artificial ice (no ice skates required). There will also be a deejay, toonie toss, clowns, balloon man, magicians, NHL alumni, 50/50 draw, puck draws, air hockey and a barbecue by donation.
