SEYMOUR Golf and Country Club's Dale Schienbein and Lenny Cyr are once again set to golf as many holes as possible in one day to raise awareness and funds for ALS.

According to a press release, the North Vancouver club is one of 40 golf courses located across the province planning to participate in the PGA of B.C. Golfathon for ALS, presented by uniPHARM and Medicine Centre Pharmacies Charitable Foundation.

Golf pros will golf from sunrise to sunset, non-stop, in support of the ALS Society of B.C. Also referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, ALS is a neurodegenerative disorder that affects a person's motor neurons, which carry messages to the muscles resulting in weakness and wasting in arms, legs, mouth, throat and elsewhere.

Schienbein and Cyr plan to complete their golf-a-thon June 12.
