Various chip-up fundraising events on the North Shore
Xmas tree sale
Drew Johnston, Thea Mazur, Simon Nebel, Finn Merrett, Isaak Nebel and Elias Nebel are just some of the young Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, part of the 11th Seymour District Scout Group, on hand for a Christmas tree fundraising sale in 2019.

This story has been amended since first posting to remove the chip-up at Ray Perrault Park. According to the Scouts, no chipping company was available to assist.

The presents have been opened, the turkey has been consumed, and family time was Zoomed.

With Christmas Day done with and the new year looming, it’s time to enjoy the final days of your bright, gleaming, impressive tree before considering chipping it for charity at one of many North Shore locations.

This year, with physical distancing top of mind, some places are even offering to pick up your tree for you – though that’ll likely cost a little extra.
