It’s a win-win: Get yourself a deal on some sporting goods, while helping to keep kids playing the games they love.
This Saturday (June 24), KidSport North Shore is running its new and used sports equipment sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gymnasium at Carson Graham Secondary.
According to the registered charity, all items will be sold at “incredibly low” prices to support recycling of and access to sports equipment.
Proceeds from the event will help cover registration fees for children and youth from low-income families to participate in sport. KidSport North Shore supports families from Deep Cove to Lions Bay, including Bowen Island.
The organization has been collecting donations of new and lightly used equipment since the end of May, but last-minute contributions can be dropped of before 4 p.m. on Friday at Carson Graham’s front office.
The organization is also accepting direct donations. Tax receipts are available for donations made by credit or debit.
Admission to the sale is free.
