Handsworth Secondary music students Leon Nitsch, Olivia McKay and Kelsey Wu are hoping people will participate in their annual bottle drive fundraiser. Residents of the Handsworth catchment area are asked to leave refundable bottles and cans in a visible spot on their property (but not curbside) by 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 for pickup. Bottles can also be dropped off at the school 9 a.m.-3 p.m. that same day. People can also bring containers to the North Shore Bottle Depot on Donaghy Avenue and ask that the refund goes to the Handsworth music program.
