Ambleside Orchestra, conducted by Nicolas Krusek, is performing at 8 p.m. pn Friday, May 27 at Highlands United Church in Edgemont Village.
The program includes Lachian Dances, an arrangement of Moravian folk dances; the world premiere of Chronicles, Luba, & Shoot the Puck by West Vancouver composer Anne Leader; and Three Pieces from the movie Schindler’s List by John Williams, featuring Jessica Tseng on violin. The orchestra will also be presenting its 2016 Scholarships and Awards for Young Musicians at this concert.
Admission (which includes complimentary refreshments) is by donation, with $20 suggested for adults and $15 suggested for youth age 13-21. Children 12 and under are free.
