Venture with your youngster to North Van City Library for the library’s first-ever Star Wars Day tomorrow, in honour of May the Fourth Be With You. Events are slated to begin at 11 a.m., and include Star Wars arts and crafts, a photo booth complete with green-screen technology, and a screening of Solo: A Star Wars Story at 2 p.m. Participants are encouraged to dress as their favourite Star Wars characters.

Gluttons for punishment and outdoor revellers unite – the Grouse Grind officially opens for the season today. Metro Vancouver staff have completed seasonal maintenance work on Mother Nature’s Stairmaster, including the removal of dangerous trees, some rock scaling as well as general repairs. The grind is open from 6:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily.
Gleneagles Community Centre is hosting its second annual Spring Fest West event tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 6262 Marine Dr. in West Vancouver. Pottery, pickleball, pony rides, bouncy castles, an electric car show and live music from singer-songwriter Karen Fowlie and the Originals will be part of the festivities for the spring festival, which is slated to showcase the programs and initiatives on offer at the rec centre.
