In an attempt to vanquish the drudgery of the everyday, why not experience some altered states in Lower Lonsdale this weekend? Polygon Gallery just launched its new exhibition, Altered States, featuring the visual and multimedia art of Susan Hiller, who’s best known for her works that examine the inexplicable and investigate our collective unconscious. On display is one piece, called Psi Girls, which features large multi-coloured video projections of adolescent girls from iconic movies in the midst of performing telekinetic acts. Surreal stuff, for sure.
