V.I.A. is teaming up with the Coast Mental Health Foundation for its Courage 2 Go Further campaign.
On Friday, June 11, fundraising team Crowns and Clowns will be cycling over 200 kilometres while gaining over 5,000 metres in elevation — all in one day.
The group will travel from Vancouver to Mount Seymour, Grouse Mountain, Cypress Mountain, and then finish the route in Whistler.
Vancouver Is Awesome is livestreaming portions of the epic ride here on our website, so you have a chance to tune in.
According to Coast Mental Health, "One in five people in Canada lives with a mental illness and in our lifetimes almost half of us will have had, or have experienced, a mental illness."
