A Spanish-style "luxurious mansion" has seen its asking price drop again.

Originally listed at $26.8 million, the Shaughnessy home is currently on the market for $19.8 million. Located at 1351 Laurier Ave., it has been assessed at over $14.5 million, making it the 308th most valuable residential property in the province, according to BC Assessment.

The three-storey home was built in the last decade and boasts plenty of design flourishes, including several chandeliers, a 20-foot dome and Versace wallpaper. It also has a private elevator, a separate garage and a rooftop deck. Several parts have been imported, including a backsplash from Italy.

The home was designed by local architect Loy Leyland, states the listing; Google Street View shows it under construction in 2018. Taxes for the property in 2023 were more than $86,000.
