In September 2021, the website featured five TV shows that were filmed in B.C.: Always be my Maybe, Firefly Lane, Virgin River, To All the Boys, and Restaurants on the Edge

In its most recent update, the Netflix website has added the action-thriller feature The Mother starring Jennifer Lopez, and the Netflix espionage series The Night Agent; both productions included multiple filming locations across B.C., including ones in Vancouver.

"New locations added to the site include Victory Square, New Brighton Beach, the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, and the Rio Vista heritage mansion," says Netflix in a press release.

The Night Agent was filmed in Vancouver, Maple Ridge, Coquitlam, and Richmond and stars Vancouver-raised talent Sarah Desjardins, who plays Maddie Renfield, daughter of the Vice President.

In March 2022, a shoot for the popular spy show involved shutting down the Georgia Viaduct overnight to film a high-speed car chase

Fans were ecstatic when "Jenny from the Block" was in town filming scenes for The Mother, which involved several massive shoots in Vancouver. The film also stars Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare In Love), Omari Hardwick (Power), and Gael Garcia Bernal (Y Tu Mamá También).

Lopez plays an assassin who comes out of hiding to protect her daughter who she gave up while she was on the run from dangerous men, according to Variety.

The actress filmed a kidnapping scene in the Downtown Eastside's Victory Square, as well as several other spots across the province
