There are often much cheaper flights out of the Abbotsford airport.

The Abbotsford Airport Shuttle through Ace Charters offers transportation between the airport and King George Station in Surrey as well as a Langley stop.

Travellers who don't want to take the bus to the Abbotsford International Airport (YXX) have a new, significantly cheaper option.

The Abbotsford Airport Shuttle is up and running again through Ace Charters, which offers transportation between the airport and King George Station in Surrey as well as the Gloucester Business Centre in Langley.

People travelling from Vancouver will need to take the Expo Line to Surrey but there are several shuttle departures daily. Also, the service is significantly cheaper than the alternative, which is a bus service from the city to the airport called Ebus.

One-way tickets for the bus service start at $46.82, while tickets from King George on the shuttle start at a fraction of that price, at $11.50. You do have to pay for extra luggage, however.

Abbotsford Airport Shuttle schedule

Departures from the Abbotsford airport start at 7:15 a.m. and operate every two-and-a-half to three hours until the final departure at 8 p.m. This means that travellers returning on night flights will not be able to use the service.

Departures from the King George Station operate daily starting at 6 a.m. and also operate roughly every two-and-a-half to three hours until the final departure from the station at 6:45 p.m.

Currently, two airlines operate out of the YXX airport: ultra-low-cost carrier Flair Airlines and WestJet.
