Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee is growing its presence in Canada and is set to open its third Metro Vancouver location in February 2023. The restaurant is known for items like burgers, fried chicken burgers and pieces, Filipino spaghetti, and peach mango pies.

Filipino fast-food giant Jollibee's ambitious Canadian expansion plan continues to unfold as the popular chain sets to open its third Metro Vancouver location this month.

With two crowd-drawing Vancouver locations already under its belt (Granville Street in Downtown and Cambie-Broadway), Jollibee has revealed an outpost in Surrey's Central City neighbourhood (9850 King George Blvd) will open in February.

"Jollibee is fast food done right. Specializing in fried chicken, burgers, spaghetti, and Filipino dishes," describes the Jollibee website.

Beloved for their spaghetti, crispy chicken, burgers, and peach mango pies, Jollibee is all about American-style fast food fused with Filipino flavours and influences. Their menu includes items with cult followings like the Yumburger and a fried chicken sandwich, and their spaghetti features a sweeter Americanized tomato sauce with sliced hot dogs and cheese on top.

While the King George Hub location in Surrey marks Jollibee's third location in Metro Vancouver (and in British Columbia overall), the fast-food chain is still at work on another restaurant location, also in Surrey, in the Strawberry Hill area.

Work got underway on that particular outpost back in January 2021 at 12101 72nd Ave on the Surrey/Delta border; at the time, the location would have been Jollibee's second in B.C. and the announcement came before its first restaurant was even open.
