5 most wanted Metro Vancouver criminals still on the lam this Halloween

They're wanted for things like murder, breaching probation and money laundering.

They're some of the most wanted men in B.C.

Not because of being particularly endearing in any way; quite the opposite in fact. Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers is looking for five of B.C.'s "most wanted criminals" this Halloween.

"As we enter the darkest and spookiest months of the year, police and Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers remain on the lookout for B.C.’s five most wanted criminals who’ve committed serious crimes, including murder, money laundering and other offenses. You certainly wouldn’t want them at your door on Halloween night," the organization states in a press release.

The five wanted men are:

  • Conor D'Monte, 42, is wanted for murder. He's described as standing 6'1", weighing 201 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has distinctive tattoos, including Asian characters on his right shoulder and 'Conrock' written on his left shoulder. He also has a tiger and dragon piece on his back.

  • John Norman Mackenzie, 60, is unlawfully at large. He's described as standing 5'9", weighing 196 pounds, with greying hair and blue eyes.

  • Cong Dinh, 34, is wanted for money laundering. He's described as standing 5'6" and weighing 132 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

  • Naseem Mohammed, 22, is wanted on multiple charges, including resisting and obstructing police. He's described as standing 5'5" and weighing 122 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

  • Bradley Britten, 40, is wanted for failing to comply with a probation order. He's described as standing 6'2" and weighing 188 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

The five men were the subject of a press event this week in a Metro Vancouver pumpkin patch as a way to drum up interest in the community. Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers collects tips on a regular basis, which can lead to an arrest.

“Simply stated, tips to Crime Stoppers work,” says the organization's executive director, Linda Annis, in release. “We receive more than 5,000 anonymous tips a year for all kinds of crimes, including gang and illegal weapons offences, and for criminals on the loose like our most wanted."

Tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $5,000; for three of this year's most wanted, Crime Stoppers has teamed up with the Be On the Lookout Program to offer more cash — up to $100,000 for information on D'Monte and up to $50,000 for information on Mackenzie and Dinh.

Tips can be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers’ downloadable “P3” app for Apple and Android phones, by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-855-448-8477 or 1-800-222- 8477, or online at solvecrime.ca. Tips can be left in over 100 languages.
