Due to the COVID-19 crisis Squamish Nation master weavers Skwetsimeltxw Willard ‘Buddy’ Joseph and Chepximiya Siyam’ Chief Janice George have had to vacate the Blue Cabin at False Creek where they were meant to be in Artist Residency through the end of the month. Some aspects of their residency have been put on hold but this weekend they will walk participants through the creation of a woven pendant in an online weaving workshop. Participants must register by Friday, March 27, 8 p.m. to receive the password for the online video workshop. The video will be available from the morning of Saturday, March 28, until the end of Sunday, March 29. There is a limited registration capacity — register here.
