Tame Impala release “Patience,” their first new song since 2015 and frontman Kevin Parker says a new album will likely be out later this summer. The band makes its debut as a Saturday Night Live musical guest on March 30 and open their tour at Coachella over two weekends, April 13 and 20.

All proceeds from VSAFF go to support Education without Borders to provide educational opportunities for disadvantaged and at-risk children through initiatives in South Africa and Canada.

The Cinematheque screens a new restoration of The Juniper Tree featuring a 16-year-old Bjork in her first feature-film role. “Written and directed by the late, unsung American filmmaker and Fulbright scholar Nietzchka Keene, and based on the eponymous Brothers Grimm fairy tale, this medieval-set fable concerns a pair of sisters who flee their Icelandic village after their mother is burned for witchcraft.”

On March 29 The Cinematheque features a double bill of François Truffaut's early masterworks “The 400 Blows” (Les Quatre Cents Coups, 1959) and “Jules and Jim” (Jules et Jim, 1962) beginning at 6:30 p.m.
