Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has announced the next age group that can start calling in to book their COVID-19 vaccinations in B.C.
Seniors 71 and older can call VCH to book their vaccine appointments as of April 6.
Those booking appointments will need to have a pen and paper, personal health number, full name, date of birth, postal code and a phone number ready.
The following age groups are eligible to book their COVID-19 vaccination appointment:
People in Richmond, Vancouver, North Vancouver and West Vancouver
- Seniors 71 years of age and older (born in 1950 or earlier)
People in Sunshine Coast, Powell River, Whistler, Squamish, Pemberton and Bowen Island
- Seniors 70 years of age and older (born in 1951 or earlier)
Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Métis, Inuit)
- Indigenous peoples 18 years of age and older
Vaccinations can now be booked online, by phone or in person by people who are in the eligible age category.
The Ministry of Health is asking people to avoid registering online unless they are in the eligible age group to avoid a system backlog.
There are three immunization clinics being set up in Richmond: East Richmond Community Hall (west of Cambie secondary), Jackson Lam Adult Day Care in Steveston and River Rock Casino.
