Daily COVID-19 rate increases on the North Shore

Overall, the spread of COVID-19 in the province continues to slow

In North Vancouver, the average daily rate of COVID-19 cases doubled to eight. More than four in five adults aged 50 or over (86%) have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, along with three in four (76%) of those over the age of 18.

In West Vancouver, the average daily rate of COVID-19 cases increased in West Vancouver to three. More than four in five adults aged 50 or over (83%) have received their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, along with three in four (75%) of those over the age of 18.

There were 83 cases on the North Shore for the week ending May 29, up from the 50 cases the previous week, the vast majority of those in North Vancouver.
