Groups of people joined the City Park Stewards volunteer team in planting native vine maple trees and shrubs, donated by Parkgate Community Services Society, at North Vancouver's Heywood Park on Saturday.
The public is invited to join the City Park Stewards, the City of North Vancouver, and the Edible Garden Project in celebrating Earth Day at Loutet Farm on April 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Activities will include an invasive plant pull, Loutet Farm tours, workshops and info from other North Shore environmental groups.
