Built in 1903 (with later additions), the Central School building operated a school until 1915. The building then became the location of North Vancouver City Hall (1915-1975) and after that was known as Presentation House – former home to the North Vancouver Museum and Archives, Presentation House Gallery (now Polygon Gallery), and current home to the Presentation House Theatre.

In 2006, the Archives of North Vancouver moved into another repurposed building, the old Lynn Valley Elementary School.
