North Vancouver becomes a winter wonderland (PHOTOS)

Intrepid reporter documents snowy scenes on walk to work

It's a snow day!

Well, it wasn't for me exactly, as I decided to throw on my boots and do my usual walk to work. I made sure, however, to take lots of photos to document the trip. Sea-level snow isn't that rare in North Vancouver, but we don't often get dumps as massive as the one we got Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. And those waterfront scenes just look so different when everything is blanketed in fluffy white stuff.

I've put together a little gallery to give a taste of what was going on in Lower Lonsdale and on the Spirit Trail Wednesday morning. Hope you enjoy. Stay warm, stay safe!
