North Vancouver parent and BC Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils director Karen Nordquist was recently awarded the Rick Hansen Difference Maker award for helping to foster positive change in her community and throughout British Columbia.
Rick Hansen personally presented the award to Nordquist at the BCCPAC Spring Conference with close to 200 parents, educators and public education advocates in attendance. Nordquist was recognized for her tireless work as a leading advocate for students needing assistance in overcoming barriers that prevent them from reaching their full potential.
