The first annual North Shore Fun Bicycle Treasure Hunt took place Sept. 14, sponsored by a grant from the Vancouver Trust. The treasure hunt saw participants follow cryptic clues (written by event creator Mark Simmons) all around Lower Lonsdale. The event was also sponsored by TheNifty.ca, Green Leaf Brewing, Obsession Bikes and Momentum Magazine. The grant money also allowed for the creation of the North Vancouver Slow Bicycle Meetup on meetup.com to continue the community spirit.
