August 1, 1932 - July 18, 2025
We are heartbroken to announce that Theresa passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on July 18 from kidney failure. Just shy of her 93rd birthday, she lived a long life filled with love and family.
Theresa was born in Belle Cote, Nova Scotia & was proud of her Cape Breton roots. She moved to the West Coast in 1955, where she married Joe LeBlanc. She worked on the cleaning staff at Lions Gate Hospital back in the ’ 60s, then at Eastman Kodak and retired in the ’ 80s. She loved “ going home” and visiting family and friends in Nova Scotia.
Nothing was more important to Theresa than family. She adored and was so proud of her grandchildren. She loved 10-pin bowling and played until the age of 90. She also played a mean game of Cribbage, many quiet games of Solitaire and many Word Find puzzles right up until the week before she passed.
Theresa was predeceased by Joe (1988), granddaughter Mariah (1996) and nine siblings. She leaves behind her children, Anne Louise Hudson (Allan) and Gary LeBlanc (Carrie); grandchildren Kilee (John), Curtis, Alana (Steve) and Drew (Kelsie); as well as her sister Rita LeBlanc and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to all the dedicated nurses and doctors at LGH, as well as the team of specialists & palliative care staff at St. Paul’ s Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 21st, 11:00am at the Lynn Valley Legion.
