December 22, 1938 - February 22, 2025
It is with sadness that Murray Good’ s family would like to announce his passing on February 22, 2025. He will be remembered fondly by his wife, Gage Good, son Christopher, daughter-in-law Tracey, grandchildren Abigail and Malcolm, as well as his sister Sandra and husband Irv Friesen. There are several nieces and nephews who will miss their uncle for his unique personality. Murray was the eldest of four children of Howard and Lillian (McFadden) Good. He is predeceased by his brothers Allan and Richard.
Many knew Murray as their family dentist in West Vancouver, an instructor of dental students at UBC, or through his many community activities, such as sailing and Speed Watch. Murray’ s daily walk between office and home while attired in his dental smock is a canonical West Van image from the 70s-90s.
Murray was born in Winnipeg, MB, on December 22, 1938. His heart, however, was with the West Coast, in Vancouver, where Gage and he moved in 1968, and where they enjoyed 57 years of living on the coast.
His family would like to thank all the staff at Amica Lions Gate for their wonderful care.
Murray donated his body to UBC and would have encouraged others to do the same.
