Born in Sheffield, England. Ron and his wife Marie settled in West Vancouver, where they raised their three daughters.
Ron, an insurance agent for 6 decades, felt it was time to retire at 87! He and his business partner invested in many agencies across Canada and into California. In addition to other business ventures, Ron volunteered his time on the board of directors at Theatre Under The Stars for over 30 years. Golfing, fishing, theatre and travelling/cruising were his hobbies and passions.
Ron is predeceased by Marie, his beloved wife of 70 years. Survived by his sister, Wendy (England), daughters, Jane (Rob), Gill (Mark) and Mandy, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A true gentleman with class and dignity. With his wickedly dry British sense of humour, he always kept us in stitches.
Our hearts are broken, but we feel solace knowing Dad had an amazing and healthy life and is reunited with Mum. Their status has been elevated from first-class passengers to first-class angels. We imagine them playfully dancing across their own heavenly cruise ship’ s dance floor.
