The Redmond family announces the peaceful passing of Irene May Redmond, age 94 years, on July 2, 2025, in North Vancouver. Survived by daughter-in-law Lisa Redmond, grandchildren Chrissy, Jamie, Lee, Tina, Asia and Michael and 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Gerald Redmond, and sons Marc and Todd Redmond. Irene was born in Vancouver and was a long-time resident of the North Shore. She loved to read and cook and was a whiz at word games. She caught the travel bug in her late 50s and visited England and China. She was a great storyteller and loved to share her memories of her family heritage and early life in Vancouver. She will be remembered by her humour and love of laughter. Deep gratitude to the staff of 3S at Evergreen House for their love and care for Irene. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union Gospel Mission, Covenant House or charity of choice.
