West Vancouver’s Amici Restaurant hosted a fundraising dinner for the Camp Kerry Society on Tuesday, Oct. 22 with more than 60 guests enjoying an evening of Italian cuisine as they helped to support the organization. Camp Kerry Society was created in 2007 by Dr. Heather Mohan, and named in honour of Kerry Kirstiuk, a young mother who passed away after her battle with cancer in 2006. With Kerry’s husband Bob Kirstiuk’s support, Camp Kerry on Keats Island was formed in 2007 as a retreat to help young, bereaving families dealing with the loss of a family member and has supported dozens of families in its tranquil setting.  campkerrysociety.org
