BC Prosecution Service have charged a suspect with second-degree murder six months after a 30-year-old man died on a sidewalk in Langley.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced on Thursday it has made an arrest in the homicide of Cody Mostat, who was 30-years-old at the time of his death.

On March 25 at 8:49 p.m., Langley RCMP officers responded to a report of an unconscious man in the 20400 block of 88 Avenue in Langley.

Police say the man died at the scene.

IHIT took over the investigation and after six months, investigators identified Justin Bos as a suspect in the homicide. He was arrested and taken into custody on Wednesday.

BC Prosecution Service laid a second-degree murder charge against Bos in connection to the homicide on Thursday.

“Today’s outcome was the result of six months of hard work and perseverance by the investigating team,” said Sgt. Timothy Pierotti.

No further details are being released at this time as the matter is before the courts.
