North Vancouver RCMP are hoping witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage will come forward after driver struck a woman on Mount Seymour Parkway.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. on Dec. 15 at the intersection of Seymour Boulevard, near Superstore.
The northbound driver, an 84-year-old North Vancouver woman, was turning east onto Mount Seymour Parkway when she struck the victim. The 26-year-old North Vancouver woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The RCMP’s Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service has been called in to determine exactly what happened.
“Drivers, don’t assume that pedestrians will not step out on your approach. Pedestrians, don’t assume a driver is going to stop for you,” said North Vancouver RCMP spokesperson Kelly McIntyre
