More downtown break-and-enters have been reported to Prince George RCMP.
This time, two suspects are being sought from separate incidents on Family Day Monday (Feb. 15) in under a 20-minute span.
Spokesperson Cst. Jennifer Cooper explains the first involves an unknown suspect as police were called at 2:50 a.m. to Walk-Rite shoes, located at 1249 4 Ave., alerted by a security guard that the business' front door had been broken into with $200 cash and possibly some shoes stolen.
They added the sighting of a hole large enough for a person to break in, and saw someone dressed in all black riding a bike in the area, but it's unclear at this time if they were the suspect in question.
Seventeen minutes later, at 3:07 a.m., RCMP were called to another break-and-enter at Surplus Herby's (1175 2 Ave.) where a man was seen by witnesses smashing the store's front-side glass.
When officers arrived, the person was nowhere to be found, but stole several air rifles.
After watching surveillance footage, the suspect is described as:
- Black balaclava
- Camouflage green jacket
- Dark coloured pants
- Thick, light brown and yellow mittens
- Likely on a bike
