Thank you to everyone at The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre (SLCC) for a beautifully curated National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
It was a perfect balance of celebration of the beautiful culture and the painful stories that need to be heard.
I am truly appreciative for everyone’s time. The SLCC is such a Whistler treasure and by encouraging all visitors to make this part of their itineraries perhaps we can light a spark in people from all over the world to also work towards honouring and respecting their own Indigenous histories.
Let’s continue to support/advocate/speak/ act for #truthandreconciliation and in the words of Chief Gelpcal, “commit to humanity.”
