On Friday July 1st, North Vancouvers Chris Zeulke Park was the setting for the North Shore District 5 2011 Little Majors Playoffs opening ceremonies. District 5 Administrator Wayne Hobson was on hand to oversee the festivities.

On the afternoon of Friday July 1st, North Vancouvers Chris Zeulke Field was the setting for 2011 North Shore Little League Majors round robin playoff action as Cypress Park hosted Highlands.

The B.C. Bike Race, a seven-day mountain bike stage race from Victoria to Whistler gets underway today at North Vancouver's Centennial Theatre. More than 450 people from 21 countries are expected to participate in the event, now in its fifth year.

Joshua Ruether, Mark Kanwischer and Stephen Lynch ride the BMX track at North Vancouvers Inter River Bike Park.
