For the second year in a row, the Windsor Dukes will play in the B.C. High School Football junior provincial championship final under the bright lights of BC Place stadium.

Last season the junior Dukes battled all the way to the final before losing 69-27 against Chilliwack’s G.W. Graham Grizzlies. This year Windsor will go for gold again against Parksville’s Ballenas Whalers on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., the first game of a full championship slate at BC Place.

The Dukes went 5-1 in regular season play this season, including a 14-6 home win over Ballenas on Oct. 16. Windsor then topped Vernon 47-8 to open the playoffs Nov. 13 before scoing a big 50-34 win over G.W. Graham in the provincial semifinal Nov. 20, avenging last year’s defeat in the championship game.

Saturday’s game will streamed live on Sports Canada TV.
