West Vancouver's Rowan Doherty rips 3,000-m PB to earn GNAC athlete of the week award

West Vancouver’s Rowan Doherty was recently selected as the GNAC men’s track athlete of the week after notching an NCAA Championships provisional qualifying time in the 3,000 meters while running for SFU. Doherty ran a time of 8:12.

West Vancouver’s Rowan Doherty was recently selected as the GNAC men’s track athlete of the week after notching an NCAA Championships provisional qualifying time in the 3,000 meters while running for SFU.

Doherty ran a time of 8:12.35 and placed 18th overall at the University of Washington Indoor Preview meet, making him the top NCAA Div. 2 runner in the race. His time was nine seconds faster than his previous personal best, and the No. 8 mark on the GNAC all-time list.
