North Vancouver’s Scott Morgan helped Canada jump out to a strong start in gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games, collecting silver in the men’s team competition today on the Gold Coast in Australia.

North Vancouver’s Scott Morgan helped Canada jump out to a strong start in gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games, collecting silver in the men’s team competition today on the Gold Coast in Australia.

Morgan joined with Zach Clay of Coquitlam; Rene Cournoyer of Repentigny, Que.; Cory Paterson of Montreal; and Jackson Payne of Calgary to rack up 248.650 total points, 10 behind the top squad from England and eight ahead of the bronze medallists from Scotland.

Morgan also qualified for event finals on rings, vault and floor. The Flicka Gymnastics member is looking to repeat his breakout performance at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland where he won four medals, including two golds.

Morgan will look to add to his 2018 medal tally with the floor and ring finals on Sunday, April 8 and the vault final on Monday, April 9.
