North Shore Avalanche team takes gold at WickFest

Massive girls hockey festival hosted by Canadian legend Hayley Wickenheiser

The North Shore Avalanche Atom C1 girls hockey team won gold in the Tier 1 division at the prestigious tournament known as WickFest held last month in Calgary.

The Canadian Tire Wickenheiser World Female Hockey Festival is hosted by hockey legend Hayley Wickenheiser and features more than 2,500 players and 110 teams from around the world. The Avalanche claimed the title with a 2-0 win over Calgary’s GHC Atom 1 North in the championship final.

North Shore Avalanche midget, bantam, and peewee teams also took part in the tournament.
