Argyle, Collingwood win titles at Cav Classic

The Argyle Pipers won the girls side while the host Collingwood Cavaliers claimed the boys title at the annual Cav Classic senior basketball tournament held Jan. 24-26 at Collingwood School.

The Argyle Pipers won the girls side while the host Collingwood Cavaliers claimed the boys title at the annual Cav Classic senior basketball tournament held Jan. 24-26 at Collingwood School.

The Pipers senior girls knocked off Collingwood in the final, with Cam Ward claiming MVP honours. Argyle’s Holly Brewer was named a tournament all-star, along with Collingwood’s Izzy Fry and Keira McCord.

On the boys side Collingwood’s Lochlan Collins earned MVP status at the Cavaliers defeated Elphinstone in the final. Collingwood’s Tariq Alibhai and Imraan Karmali were named to the tournament all-star team. It was the second trophy in a row for the Cavaliers, as they won the final at the Britannia Bruins the weekend prior.
