Luxury resort-style living in an unexpected location

Part of the North Shore’s masterplanned Lion’s Gate Village, these high-end, high-rise homes offer both luxury and value

A stunning rooftop pool with club-style cabanas and outdoor entertaining areas. A state-of-the-art fitness centre. A luxurious lounge, dining room and piano bar. A grocery store and restaurant right downstairs. Village amenities on the plaza, mere steps away. Direct access to world-class hiking trails.

Park West, the luxury condo development at the newly masterplanned town centre of Lion’s Gate Village in North Vancouver, sure has a lot going for it. No wonder, then, that phase one is already 80 per cent sold out, and phase two is hotly anticipated to see the same buzz.

Local realtor and North Shore resident Sara Fakhari has first-hand experience of the power of Park West over her home buyers.

“One repeat client of mine, a successful professional in her 30s, wanted an investment condo as a rental opportunity, so I took her to the Park West sales centre. She was so impressed with the amenities, the location, the finishes and how close it was to Park Royal Mall that she came out with a two-bedroom condo to move into herself,” recalls Fakhari.

Park West, by Keltic Canada Development, comprises two high-rise towers, one of 19 storeys and one at 23 storeys, totalling 258 luxurious condo residences. The towers are linked by a low podium containing commercial space and boasting a fabulous resort-style rooftop pool and waterfall feature. All 25,000 square feet of commercial space has been snapped up by high-end anchor tenants, including a well-known grocery chain taking up 11,000 square feet, and an internationally recognized restaurant.

Fakhari has sold multiple suites at Park West to her eager buyers. “Most of them are local buyers from the North Shore who are end-users, not investors – whether they’re buying for themselves, or for a family member,” she says. “They’re buying because of the location, and because of the luxury Park West is offering in a North Vancouver location, it has the best amenities and finishes you’d expect to see in West Vancouver projects.”

She also adds, “Park West is probably one of the best bangs for your buck.”

Highest luxury for best value

Craig Anderson, marketing and sales director at Magnum Project Marketing, explains part of the value in Park West comes from its location, right on North Vancouver’s border with West Vancouver at Lion’s Gate Bridge. “It’s the highest luxury and best value in the area, as we’re just over the border in North Vancouver,” he says, “You come 100 feet down the road, and you save $300 per square foot [compared with a project in West Vancouver].”

Anderson points out that Park West is not only less expensive than new West Vancouver condos, it’s also closer to the extensive shopping amenities at nearby Park Royal – and it’s “first on, first off the bridge,” he adds.

But, he points out, “When you’re home, you’re home. There’s no need to get in your car again – you’ve got everything you’d ever need right there.”

Luxurious finishes in the Cristina Oberti-designed interiors include quartz countertops, porcelain backsplashes and gorgeous custom cabinetry, complemented by full Miele appliance packages and air-conditioning throughout. There is also a choice of colour palettes – Chestnut or Pearl – to suit the buyer’s personal style. “The finishes are much more like those luxury condos you’d get in West Vancouver – which brings us back to Park West offering that highest luxury and best value,” adds Anderson.

The airy, open-concept residences range from one to three bedrooms, from 515 square feet to nearly 1,300 square feet for the larger homes. The condos also offer generous balconies, with expansive terraces on the upper levels – and of course, incredible ocean and city views beyond.

Homes at Park West start at $637,900 for one-bedroom units and $839,900 for two bedrooms. Select homes in phase two, the taller south tower, are being released February 23 with an event at the Park West sales centre at 1633 Capilano Road, North Vancouver.
