LETTER: Pedestrians need to be seen

Dear Editor:

Those dark, rainy winter evenings are once again upon us.  Driving home around 5 p.m. the other night, I was shocked and dismayed at the number of pedestrians wearing dark clothing stepping off curbs and presuming that car drivers can see them. We cannot!

Please, please wear something white - a scarf, a hat, anything so we can see you. We all want everyone to get home safe.
