LETTER: Ongoing construction obstructs charity trucks

Dear editor:

Yesterday (Dec. 17), a Canadian Diabetes truck could not drive on the 2800 block of Bellevue Avenue to pick up the bag of clothes left in my driveway for that organization to distribute to the needy at this time of year. I have lived in the middle of this block for 43 years. For the last 25, I often can’t get out, going east or west. This is because of ongoing construction of the $15 million+ homes. It is a sad commentary that the bag of clothes will now be picked up Jan. 7, when I went to a great deal of trouble to help those in need now.
