Dear Editor:

When I was young boy growing up in England in the 1950s and ’60s, there was a series of books called I-Spy. Such titles as I-Spy Farm was one edition where one could make note of various things seen on a farm. It was fun and educational to look for and identify the various farm animals and implements. The series of books was quite extensive. I-Spy Trains was a particularly popular edition with boys.

I am thinking of adding one more edition to the series: I-Spy Speed Limit Signs on Capilano Road. If one can find the absent speed signs between Ridgewood and Cleveland Park one could earn a gold star. To fill out the booklet it will include a section to identify speeding, noisy and air-polluting vehicles by category. There will be a special section for Dodge Ram diesel trucks, motorbikes (Harley Davidsons would earn an extra star) and tour buses, to name a few.

Once published, free copies will be given to the fine members of the RCMP and the District of North Vancouver.

It will make gripping reading and will no doubt be a bestseller.
