Open letter to District of West Vancouver council:

With the limited transit involving transfers, no car-share, and no car hailing in West Vancouver the options for getting around except by car are very limited. We finally have an offer from TransLink to establish a B-Line that will connect us quickly to the transit grid in metro. Those of us in West Van who either work elsewhere, or come to West Van to work, or those who work or study in our schools will have an improved option to not drive. Traffic that is gridlocked in Ambleside in daytime due to left turns and parkers will have a free flow dedicated to travel. Fewer cars on streets mean fewer delays on the bridge approaches. Business in the surprisingly quiet Ambleside and Dundarave areas can only be improved. This could improve options for shopping and entertainment that West Van people now have to travel out of town to participate in. Do the right thing and approve the B-Line to Dundarave.
